New Malaysia Promised!

by - 7:57 AM

We are two quarters into the first 100 days of a Pakatan Harapan government, already some concerns are beginning to appear, the most disconcerting is that the new Minister in charge of religion has come out to justify JAKIM’s huge RM800 million a year budget, a budget just a few weeks ago before PH won the elections was considered too much and too wasteful by PH politicians for a federal religious authority.

Next the Face of Pakatan Harapan’s youth, the Minister of Youth and Sports disappointingly threw his own friend under the bus by not standing up for him in the face of criticism from bigots who were homophobic. Instead it was his friend who ended up being the one who had to stand up for his friend the Minister and resign. Maybe PH chose the wrong man for the job.

Whatever, I am starting to write again because of this new freedom that has been promised Malaysians who want to express themselves. Nobody knows for sure though how long these freedoms will last, but for now I am gonna just enjoy it.

Thank you Pakatan Harapan.
