JATUH, LOMPAT ATAU 'TERBUNUH'???
Yesterday's news of a 30 year old found dead after being questioned by MACC officials at Plaze Masalam where the MACC HQ is situated is nothing short of a TRAGEDY that can happen to anyone under the current rules from which the MACC and the POLICE operate.
Teoh Beng Hock, the political secretary to the Seri Kembangan assemblyman was getting ready to be married the next day, and now we may never know the real reason why he is dead.
News of his death was greeted by immediate disbelief, anger and profound sadness by most Malaysians, by his family, friends and party members. These are all natural emotions to be expected. A healthy young man is called for questioning and is kept until 3.45am in the morning and not allowed phone calls or not allowed to see anyone is found dead several hours later at 1.30pm. Agatha Christie could not have come out with a better plot.
What amazed me were the existence of a few swift responses by some misguided BN supporters who unthinkingly felt it was their duty to come to the defense of a government agency. They say they could not understand the insinuations, the suspicions, the anger. They are calling upon everyone to not jump the gun.
I CAN ONLY SHAKE MY HEAD IN DISBELIEF!!!
Now lets take a moment to try to understand how people who know the deceased have reacted.
CLOSE YOUR EYES,
Imagine your loved one (a brother, sister, husband, wife, ect) is called to the MACC for questioning with regards to something you have done or not done. You at first think its a routine investigation but you are nevertheless worried for your loved one having to go alone. You request to follow, but the MACC says no, so you are forced to let your loved one go alone. You request for a lawyer to be present, but the MACC refuses.
Still worried but unable to do anything you carry on with your own work and your loved one goes to the MACC office. That is the last time you see your loved one, you try calling him/her on the mobile but there is no answer, later at night, you take a drive down to the MACC office to see your loved one but you are refused permission.
Worried but unable to do anything you go home, still trying to contact your loved one on the mobile unsuccessfully.
Next morning you go to work thinking that your loved one is safe and is back at home. At three in the evening you get a call from a friend that your loved one was found dead and is being reported on the news.
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR FIRST REACTION......
ANGER!!!!!
DISBELIEF!!!
You quickly drive to see your loved one, all the way crying and angrily promising justice and ....
I PERSONALLY FEEL ALL THESE FEELINGS ARE FULLY JUSTIFIED BASED ON THE EXISTING INFORMATION AVAILABLE.
And of course all these could have easily been avoided by the authorities in questioned if they had in place procedures that record all movements at all times of any 'guest' brought into the building by the MACC. Today the MACC would have no case to answer to and public perception would be with them.
BUT THE POLICE, THE MACC TILL TODAY HAVE REFUSED TO HEED CALLS TO MAKE SURE ALL MOVEMENTS WITH REGARDS TO HOW THEY HANDLE ALL 'GUEST' OR SUSPECTS IN THEIR CUSTODY OR RESPONSIBILITY.
THEY REFUSE TO ALLOW THE FORMATION OF THE INDEPENDENT POLICE COMMISSION AS RECOMMENDED...CAN WE THEN BLAME THE PUBLIC IF THEY THINK THAT THE AUTHORITIES HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE....
I hope YOU never have, to have a loved one 'taken' from you without knowing what happened to them.

I fully agree with you! Those who are fortunate not to have to attend to such 'interviews' with police or MACC would not know of such feelings until it befalls them.
You naturally feel your rights violated. But death? That is way too much. By keeping silence, as well as stupid statements from Nazri, Sudden Death by OCPD etc. Well how can it be swept under the carpet like that? As a rakyat, if elected rep and their aide could be treated such, what about ordinary citizen like you and me?
Like many Malaysians, we are all shocked at what happened. At the same time, I am not too sure if anyone will be held accountable. Let's hope the public will put immense pressure on the govt to tell the truth this time instead of sweeping everything under the carpet. They can do it with other matters but not when an innocent life is involved.
those are not bn supporters. they are supporters of dr mahathir like big dog and parpukari who are making into a racial angle. they are evil people, and they show how disgusting mukhriz and his father is.
Another reminder of the failure of Pak Lah to implement IPCMC recommendations and also for caving in and giving us a different name for ACA rather than a totally independent ACA answerable only to Parliament.
I would be seething with all kinds of emotions if it were someone I loved.
I and my whole family have been faithful BN voters who are going to vote opposition in GE13 and make sure all my friends and relatives vote for more checks and balances.
Good one bro.
To make matter worse, UMNO-linked newspapers are turning the whole incident into a racial one.
Dr MBS,
-Agree wil you
-Its the same with me..all votes going to opposition!!!
Imagine your loves ones being killed by underworld triads hitman for exposing the illegal dealings to the authority...
Make sense?
if hit men are after you, won't the MACC be a safe place especially since they are the ones who invited you to their building.
Now they don't even know what the fock happened in their own place. sheesh
and the point of the posting is to get people to understand why people are angry, obviously u didn't get it. sigh
