BALL POLISHERS!!!

I am actually at the verge of giving up, giving on caring I mean, except for the fact that I know how the Pejuang Bahasa guys are actually con men who know what they are doing is destructive but do it anyway so that they a role, that they remain relevant...I leave you with the article below;

www.niamah.blogspot.com

Khir Toyo said the PPSMI policy of teaching mathematics and science in English should continue at all levels as additional classes after school hours.

“I suggest additional classes of between two and three hours a week, starting from standard one, be held."

Well I would like to suggest that he give himself a root canal. Without anaesthesia!

Khir said he supported the government’s move to discontinue the policy introduced by former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“I believe the move was part of his (Mahathir) vision of a greater Malaysia and I understand his disappointment” he said, adding that not all plans for grandeur can be implemented.

Wah! So many words just to say, "Haha...F**K you Mahathir!"

Khir expressed his thanks to Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for removing this obstacle, which was preventing rural students from grasping basic mathematics and science.

That is a good one. Two birds with one stone. Polish 2 balls and score some points with simple minded rakyat.

Salam Tuan Stephen,

If we look into all the discussion about PPSMI, the real obstacle was the teachers. The teachers admitted it ! They were unable to teach the subjects in English. The reasons given, not properly train lah, not prepared lah, and all the blah,blah ! And for the record, I believe, they were given allowance for that !

On another note Tuan, I did from standard one (1966) to form five (1976) learned all subjects in English escept BM ! No problemo ! I don't remember my parent giving me any 'brain enhancing' food to assist my learning the subjects in English !

Hi Stephen, there was no problem even for people like me in the early 70's to adapt from Sek.Jenis (C) Keb. to English and still succeed in Malay.I hail from a small village in Bukit Mertajam. My kids are with international companies and English is a must but their command of Malay is equally good. Please conduct a noble hearted survey to all in the field, not just plucking from the air or for political mileage and kill another generation of Malaysians.

I agree with the above 2 comments. I mean we were made to study hard for BM and must pass the subject in order to obtain a full certificate. Why can't the same be done for English? Make these current students realised that gone are the days where they treat English with disdain. You don't pass English, you fail the whole Exam but I don't see this happening.
